Products
Are your scents really “psychoactive”?
We call what we make “psychoactive perfume,” but that doesn’t mean there are any controlled substances inside. We came up with the term to describe scents which are engineered for potent aromatherapeutic and energetic effects.
What currencies do you accept?
Our prices are listed in Canadian Dollars. Right now, tax is included.
Where are Jovian’s products made?
Jovian’s products are designed, blended, and manufactured in very small batches in Montréal, Canada.
How do you decide what astrological functions your scents have?
We worked closely with Brooklyn-based professional astrologer Jaime Wright, who created in-depth astrological indications for each formula as it was being designed.
Are your fragrances for men or women?
All smells are for all genders. Our fragrances are no different :)
Do Jovian products go bad?
All our scents are completely free of preservatives. This makes them unique in the fragrance world: perfumes are often crammed with chemicals that aren’t always great for you. The trade off for going completely natural is that these products should be used within 6-12 months, and their scents might start evolving a bit within that window and after.
How long do Jovian perfume sprays last on skin?
Synthetic ingredients are often used as “fixatives” to anchor a perfume to the skin. Since we don’t add any to our perfumes, our scents will dissipate a bit faster than commercial perfumes. Expect most Jovian sprays to start bold and then settle after 1-2 hours, continuing to linger closer to the skin for a number of hours after that. The longevity and projection of our depending on the formula and your skin’s chemistry. The trade-off for a shorter lifespan is a life-sized, vibrant, scent your nose won’t get tired of.
If strength and longevity are super important to you, and you don’t mind a bit of chemistry, we sell a simple solution of alcohol and iso e super (a universal, synthetic, transparent-woody fixative). Try layering it underneath your Jovian scent for a bit of a boost.
Orders
Where do you ship?
Currently, we’re offering domestic shipping to Canada and international courier shipping to the United States (excluding Armed Forces addresses). We also ship to the UK and most countries in Europe. Feel free to email us to find out if we ship to your country.
If you live outside of Canada, your order may be subject to import or customs fees separate from our shipping charge. You are responsible for paying all import and customs fees incurred by your Jovian shipment.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We'll normally ship your order 2-3 business days after receiving it. Once we have shipped your order, you’ll receive an email update (separate from your confirmation email) with a tracking number so you can stay up to date with your shipment. Shipping time varies by region, but most Canadian orders arrive in about a week from the date of shipment.
For shipments to USA, expect at least 8-10 business days for delivery. Occasionally, customs delays can extend this timeframe.
For shipments to the UK and Europe, expect at least 12-14 business days for delivery. Customs delays can extend this timeframe. Thanks for your patience!

Can you make me a custom Jovian scent?
Yes! Before founding Jovian, our perfumer created custom scent effects for live performances and events, including for New York Fashion Week. However, creating a new formula is an extremely involved process that may or may not be practical for your intended use. If you’re inspired by what we do, or by the possibilities of natural psychoactive aroma, please send us an email and we’d be happy to discuss.
I think I might be having a reaction to your products!
Assuming you mean a bad reaction, we’re very sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, because of the active compounds in essential oils, certain sensitivities can occasionally arise when using them. While we try our best to formulate products to mitigate this risk, we also blend for higher-than-average potency, so our products should be used with care. We’d be more than happy to address any questions or concerns via email!
